What happens, step by step
This page describes exactly what happens when you use Connectea — what you'll be asked to do, what we do, and when. Choose which applies to you.

Search
- Enter your postcode. You'll see companion profiles near you — their photo, what they're like, their interests, and when they're available.
- You can look at as many profiles as you want before deciding anything. There's no form to fill in first.
- 2.
Get in touch
- You express interest in someone. You give us your name, email, phone number, and a short note about who you're looking for. We do not share your contact details with the companion at this stage, and we never will without your knowledge.
- We contact you. Usually within one working day, someone from Connectea calls or emails you to talk through what you're looking for and confirm the companion is a sensible fit.
- You create an account. This is where you add a payment card. You will not be charged anything yet — only after a visit has actually happened.
- 3.
The first visit
- We arrange the first visit. Before the companion comes to the house for the first time, you need to have a third person present — someone you trust, in addition to yourself. This is required for every single first visit, with no exceptions. We will tell you this clearly and check it's arranged before the visit is confirmed.
- The first visit happens. You, your trusted third person, and the companion meet. If it goes well, the arrangement is confirmed and ongoing visits begin.

Ongoing visits
- After every visit, the companion will click a visit completion check. You'll get a notification to review it.
- You have 48 hours to act. You can release payment straight away if you're happy, or flag a concern if something doesn't feel right. If you do nothing, payment releases automatically after 48 hours — so the companion isn't left waiting indefinitely for being paid for work they've done.
- If you flag a concern, payment is held immediately and someone from Connectea will be in touch within 1 working day.
- From time to time, we'll also ask how things are going and invite you to leave a rating — it would be nice to hear your feedback, and it helps companions build a fair, honest reputation over time.

Whenever you need to
- You can flag a concern at any time, not just after a visit.
- You can end the arrangement at any time, with no minimum commitment, by contacting us.
